Team Retreats

Somebody on your team has to plan the retreat, and it's rarely their full-time job. That's usually where it falls apart — not because nobody had good ideas, but because nobody had the bandwidth.

You're gathering your team for a reason — a strategy session, the year-ahead roadmap, actually reconnecting as people — and that reason deserves to be the focus.

The flights and the hotel are the easy part; it's the small stuff after that. Suddenly, someone wants to tack on an extra day at their own expense, or the dinner reservation needs to be for eight instead of six, and, oh yeah, who's gonna call the three Uber XLs we need to fit the whole team?

Solid planning—and thoughtful details—are what decides whether your retreat is just a few days in a conference room or a weekend people are still bringing up a year later.

What I do

You can bring me in for exactly as much of that as you need:

• Hotel Bookings — I find and book your room block, usually at a better rate than you'd get on your own. It costs you nothing, and you save yourself lots of emails and hours of work. Learn more about free hotel bookings for groups with +5 rooms.
• Full Planning — I make all the travel plans, reservations, hire vendors as needed, and design a thoughtful itinerary aligned to you and your team's goals. (Flat fee based on scope.)
• On-Site Coordination — I keep things running smoothly so your team can focus on the business objectives on hand instead of meeting the caterers and calling Ubers. (Flat fee, based on scope.)

My experience

I spent years as an operations executive at growing startups so I've planned retreats from the inside and the outside.

I know what a retreat actually needs to accomplish, not just what it needs to look like in the recap deck.

Mexico City is my specialty, but I've planned and coordinated retreats wherever a team needs to be—including New York, LA, and San Francisco.
