Most people planning an event start with the vibe.
I start with the goal: what this event actually needs to do for your brand or your business, and what the room needs to feel like for that to happen.
Everything else (the venue, the vendors, the run of show, and even the small touches) gets built backward from there.
Once we know what we're building toward, I run it.
Vendors, timelines, the details nobody notices until they go wrong — that's the part I actually enjoy. You get an event plan that can withstand a tornado (true story!) and someone who doesn't need a sign-off on every small decision to keep moving.
I've planned events at embassies and in someone's backyard, and the same rule applies both times: people should leave feeling genuinely taken care of, not just scheduled through an agenda.
