The podcast is live!
And we're starting close to home

Most people think Mexican drinks start and stop with tequila and mezcal. But they couldn’t be more wrong!
There are craft distillers, brewers, and roasters all over the country who are putting a local twist on the classics… and creating some new ones.
The drinks are great, and the stories behind them are even better.
This season, we’ll travel to:
- Mexico City’s first female-owned distillery,
- A brewery that used to be Latin America’s largest textile factory,
- Not one but TWO distilleries started by 18 year olds,
- And a few other fun places!
The Birthplace of Corn
We’re starting with Mexican whiskey because it’s fucking delicious, for starters. But it’s also about more than making a great whiskey.
It’s about preserving the +60 kinds of native corn that are going extinct.
And as an early listener said, “Pretty good point that the birthplace of corn would know a thing or two about making corn whiskey.”
