If you've ever followed along on my trips to Japan and thought, "I wish I could go with you"... Well, now you can!
I'm leading a very small group trip to Japan this May—and we're going to my Japan.
My favorite cities, my favorite sights, and, of course, my favorite bars. Plus, we'll meet the people who forever changed how I think about craft.
This is the trip I spent two years looking for before I finally gave up and DIY-ed it myself last year.
The podcast opened doors that normally stay closed... and, well, I just wedged my foot in there to hold it open for you. 😆
So, this is your chance to come along!
High-level deets
Mainland Japan
May 13 -22 (10 days, 9 nights)
Kobe, Fukuoka, Kagoshima
+Okinawa Extension
May 22-25 (4 days, 3 nights)
Optional add-on to finish in Okinawa

Trip Highlights
🍶 Kobe – You'll sip premium sake, enjoy great Kobe beef, and learn about feudal-era Japan in the underrated city that's just a quick ride from Kyoto and Osaka.
🍠 Fukuoka — Plow through local ramen at its famous yatai stands, go deep on shochu (Japan's national spirit), and understand why this vibrant city is the fastest growing in Japan.
🥃 Kagoshima — Explore a beautiful Japanese garden or hike a volcano, before we head out of the city to visit a traditional pottery village and sip "mellow whisky" on the coast.
🐍 Okinawa — There's nowhere else in Japan like Okinawa, for better or worse. Learn about its complicated history, enjoy some beach time, and see if you're brave enough to drink awamori from a snake-filled bottle.
How it Works
We'll spend three days in each city, with a "boozy field trip" in each one.
There will be plenty of free time to explore on your own, but you'll also have all my recs (and a fun group) to explore alongside.
I'll be talking more about this trip in the coming weeks—why I decided to do it, why you should trust me to take you, etc. I'll also be sharing some of the trip itself come spring.
But, for now - take a look at the deck and let me know if you're in.
There are just ✌️ spots left!

If you're excited about the idea but can't make it in May, hit reply to let me know. I'm considering extra dates in the fall/spring, depending on interest.
I will say, though - now is the best time to come if you can swing May. The group coming on this trip is the actual best, and it's the cheapest it'll ever be.
And in the meantime - I'm bringing a little taste of Japan to CDMX next week!
It's half cocktail club / half podcast finale party / all good times. Walk-ins are welcome, but I recommend grabbing a ticket to guarantee access to the special stuff.
Most of the bottles came over in a suitcase, so quantities are extremely limited. 😅

Caro
